Investigation of National Education Association (NEA) for Alleged Breach of Duty to Its Members
To All National Education Association Members:
We are investigating allegations that the National Education Association (NEA) breached its duty to its members by accepting millions of dollars from financial firms in connection with an association-sponsored retirement plan.
Members of the NEA, the country's largest professional organization, have alleged that the NEA breached its duty to its members by: (i) taking fees from financial firms whose annuities the NEA recommends to its members; and (ii) not disclosing those fees to NEA plan participants.
Members of the NEA have also alleged that these and other excessive fees have negatively affected their retirement plans by diminishing their savings.
